The objective of this beacon is to understand how to assist the Traveler to respond to dilemmas created by barriers, challenges, or interactions with difficult individuals during stressful times when balancing “feelings” that are involved during or following the encounter. For example, when interacting with a difficult individual, many feelings may arise. Such feelings may include conflict, betrayal, fear, anger etc. If the Traveler chooses the path of the “process of healing,” he/she would begin with the following:
There are times in life when an individual is unable to move forward due to fear. The individual’s inability to move forward may occur due to his/her unwillingness to let go of old behaviors and attach to newer behaviors utilizing belief, faith, and trust as a new way of self exploration. The objective is to assist the individual to empower the “psychological self” by understanding what can be gained should he/she choose the “Unlit Path.”
The objective of this beacon is to provide a framework for the Traveler to reinforce and empower the psychological self. Pride is a feeling/emotion that can serve the individual well or deal a negative blow. Pride can be defined as a feeling, deep pleasure, or satisfaction derived from one’s own achievements, the consciousness of one’s own dignity, or the quality of having an excessively high opinion of oneself or one’s importance. This framework consists of the following components:
The objective of this beacon is twofold, understanding the concept of “letting go and moving on” and joining with another concept,
“needs and wants.” This beacon represents a radical or significant change in the Traveler’s life. In doing so the beacon provides a framework
to reinforce the reasoning for this new direction.
